Loaded Potato Poppers

Ingredients:

Sauce:

  • Cream ¾ Cup
  • Mustard paste 1 & ½ tbs
  • Mayonnaise 3 tbs
  • Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) leaves handful
  • Lehsan (Garlic) cloves 3
  • Hari mirch (Green chillies) 4
  • Lemon juice ½ tbs
  • Namak (Salt) ¼ tsp or to taste
  • Cooking oil 1-2 tbs
  • Sausages sliced 6-7 or as required

Potato Poppers:

  • Aloo (Potatoes) boiled 4 medium
  • Paprika powder 1 tsp
  • Namak (Salt) 1 tsp or to taste
  • Chicken powder ½ tbs (optional)
  • Kali mirch powder (Black pepper powder) 1 & ½ tsp
  • Maida (All-purpose flour) 2 tbs
  • Mozzarella cheese grated ½ Cup
  • Anday (Eggs) whisked 2-3
  • Breadcrumbs as required
  • Cooking oil for frying

Assembling:

  • Tamatar (Tomatoes) deseeded & chopped
  • Hari piyaz (Spring onion) chopped

Directions:

Prepare Sauce:

In a blender jug add cream, mustard paste, mayonnaise, fresh coriander, garlic, green chillies, lemon juice, salt & blend until well combined. Transfer to a squeeze bottle then set aside.

In a frying pan heat cooking oil, add sausages and fry on medium flame until golden, then set aside.

Potato poppers:

In a bowl grate boiled potatoes.

Add paprika powder, salt, chicken powder, black pepper powder, all-purpose flour, mozzarella cheese & mix well.

With the help of greased hands, take small quantity of mixture (20g) & make a popper shape. Make all poppers in the same manner.

Dip poppers in whisked egg & coat with breadcrumbs (makes 36-38).

Heat cooking oil in a wok & deep fry coated poppers for 2 minutes or until golden brown & crispy.

Assembling:

Arrange fried poppers in a dish, add fried sausages, tomatoes, prepared sauce, spring onion & serve!
