Homemade Pizza Sauce🍕 Make and Store

Ingredients:

-Tamatar (Tomatoes) 6 kg (ripe & red)

-Hot water as required

-Olive oil ¾ Cup (Substitute: Cooking oil)

-Pyaz (Onion) chopped 3 medium

-Lehsan (Garlic) chopped ½ Cup

-Tomato paste ½ Cup

-Sugar 4 tbs

-Dried oregano 2 tbs

-Lal mirch (Red chilli) crushed 2 tsp

-Himalayan pink salt 2 tsp or to taste

-Lal mirch powder (Red chilli powder) 1 tsp or to taste

-Sirka (Vinegar) 6 tbs

-Fresh basil leaves ½ Cup

 

Directions:

-Wash tomatoes thoroughly with water.

-Make a small cut on the bottom of tomatoes with the help of knife.

-In hot water,add tomatoes,bring it to boil & boil on medium flame until tomatoes are tender (30 minutes).

-Let them cool.

-Peel tomato skin & chop coarsely 1/3rd quantity of boiled tomatoes with the help of knife & reserve for later use.

-Add remaining 2/3rd quantity of boiled tomatoes in a large bowl & blend well with the help of blender.

-In a wok,add olive oil,onion & fry until light golden.

-Add garlic & sauté for 2 minutes.

-Add chopped tomatoes,tomato paste,mix well & cook on medium flame for 4-5 minutes.

-Add blended tomatoes,sugar,dried oregano,red chilli crushed,pink salt,red chilli powder,vinegar, fresh basil leaves,mix well & cook on high flame for 10-12 minutes & mix continuously,cover partially & cook on low flame for 30-40 minutes (mix in between).

-Let it cool completely.

How to store Homemade Pizza Sauce:

In Refrigerator:

-Transfer in jar or zip lock bag in small batch sizes.

-Can be kept in refrigerator for up to 1 month (yield: 3 kg approx.)

In Freezer:

-Transfer in zip lock bags preferably in small batches size so that you can stock them in freezer to save space.

-Can be stored in freezer for up to 6 months.
