Sesame Sohan Halwa Bites

Ingredients:

-Safed Til (Sesame seeds) 1 & ½ Cup

-Chakki ka atta (Whole wheat flour) ¼ Cup

-Mong phali (Peanuts) roasted & chopped ½ Cup

-Akhrot (Walnuts) chopped ½ Cup

-Elaichi powder (Cardamom powder) 1 tsp

-Bareek cheeni (Caster sugar) ¾ Cup

-Tahini paste ¼ Cup

-Honey 2 tbs

-Zafran (Saffron) ¼ tsp (soaked in 4 tbs hot water)

-Badam (Almonds) peeled & sliced as required

-Pista (Pistachios) sliced as required

 

Direction:

-In a wok,add sesame seeds & dry roast on low flame until fragrant (4-5 minutes).

-Add whole wheat flour, mix well & dry roast on low flame for 3-4 minutes.

-Add peanuts, walnuts, cardamom powder, mix well & dry roast on low flame until fragrant then transfer it to a bowl.

-In a wok, add caster sugar & let it melt on low flame (10-12 minutes).

-Add tahini paste, honey, mix well, then add saffron & mix well

-Add sesame mixture, mix well until well combined.

-Take 10x6 inches greased rectangle mold, transfer sesame seeds mixture to the mold & spread evenly.

-Sprinkle almonds, pistachios, & press with the help of a presser.

-Let it cool for 20 minutes or until sohan is warmed.

-With the help of greased knife, release corners, demold it & cut in desired shape.

-Refrigerate for 1-2 hours before serving.

-Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
