Another viral trend, Tortilla Cones. We just had to add our little twist to it so here is a recipe of beautifully presented tortilla cones and a yogurt sauce to go with it. #HappyCookingToYou #FoodFusion #ViralFoodTrend

Crispy Chicken Tenders:

  • Namak (Salt) 1 tsp or to taste
  • Kali mirch powder (Black pepper powder) 1 & ½ tsp
  • Lehsan powder (Garlic powder) 1 tsp
  • Paprika powder ½ tsp
  • Boneless Chicken julienne cut 500g
  • Anday (Eggs) whisked 2 or as required
  • Breadcrumbs 1 & ½ Cups or as required
  • Cooking oil for frying

Yogurt Sauce:

  • Dahi (Yogurt) hung 1 Cup
  • Mustard paste 1 tbs
  • Tahini paste 3 tbs
  • Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped 2 tbs
  • Namak (Salt) ¼ tsp or to taste


  • Iceberg roughly chopped 2 Cups
  • Tamatar (Tomato) deseeded & julienne 1 Cup
  • Pyaz (Onion) thinly sliced & washed 1 Cup
  • Jalapenos chopped ¼ Cup
  • Lemon juice 1 tbs
  • Namak (Salt) ½ tsp or to taste
  • Paprika powder ½ tsp
  • Kali mirch (Black pepper) crushed ½ tsp

Tortilla cones:

  • Tortilla 4-6 or as required
  • Cooking oil/Butter


  • Baked Tortilla cones
  • Prepared salad
  • Crispy Chicken Tenders
  • Prepared Yogurt sauce
  • Prepared salad
  • Prepared Yogurt sauce


Prepare Crispy Chicken Tenders:

In a bowl add salt, black pepper powder, garlic powder, paprika powder & mix well.

Add boneless chicken, mix & coat well.

Dip each chicken strip in whisked eggs then coat with bread crumbs.

Heat oil in a frying pan & shallow fry chicken on medium flame until tender & crispy, set aside.

Prepare Yogurt sauce:

In a bowl add yogurt, mustard paste, tahini paste, fresh coriander, salt & whisk well. Yogurt sauce is ready, transfer to a dressing bottle & set aside.

Prepare Salad:

In a bowl add iceberg, tomatoes, onion, jalapenos, lemon juice, salt, paprika powder, black pepper crushed, mix & toss well then set aside.

Prepare Tortilla cones:

Cut tortilla in half (semicircle), fold half piece of tortilla into a cone shape & fix it with a wooden skewer/toothpick.

Place tortilla cones in a baking tray, brush them with cooking oil/butter & bake in preheated oven at 180C for 6-8 minutes or until golden brown. Take out from oven & let it cool down completely.


In a baked tortilla cone add prepared yogurt salad, fried crispy chicken tenders, prepared yogurt sauce, prepared salad, prepared yogurt sauce & serve with french fries! (makes 12-13)
