Spicy Peanuts

Ingredients:

1st way:

  • Haldee powder (Turmeric powder) ½ tsp
  • Namak (Salt) ½ tbs or to taste
  • Lal mirch powder (Red chilli powder) ½ tbs or to taste
  • Zeera (Cumin seeds) crushed 1 tsp
  • Moong phali (Peanuts) 2 Cups (300g)
  • Baisan (Gram flour) ½ Cup
  • Chawal ka atta (Rice rice) 3 tbs
  • Baking soda 1 pinch
  • Pani (Water) 2-3 tbs or as required
  • Lehsan paste (Garlic paste) 1 tsp
  • Pani (Water) 1/4 Cup or as required
  • Cooking oil for frying
  • Chaat masala

2nd way:

  • Tatri (Lemon salt) ¼ tsp
  • Zeera (Cumin seeds) roasted & crushed 1 tsp
  • Dried parsley 1 tsp
  • Namak (Salt) 1 tsp
  • Lal mirch powder (Red chilli powder) 1 tsp
  • Kali mirch powder (Black pepper powder) ½ tsp
  • Cooking oil 2 tbs
  • Haldee powder (Turmeric powder) ½ tsp
  • Moong phali (Peanuts) 2 Cups (300g)

Directions:

1st way:

In bowl,add turmeric powder,salt,red chilli powder,cumin seeds,mix well & set aside.

Crack peanuts in a bowl & set aside.

In bowl,place sifter,addd gram flour,rice flour,baking soda and sift together.

Add prepared spice mix and mix well.

Add peanuts and mix well.

Add water,garlic paste and mix well.

Gradually add water and coat well.

In wok,heat cooking oil and fry peanuts on medium flame until golden brown.

Sprinkle chaat masala & serve!

2nd way:

In a spice mixer add lemon salt, Cumin seeds, dried parsley, salt, red chilli powder, black pepper powder & grind well. Set aside.

On a wok add oil, turmeric powder, peanuts & mix well.

Cook for 5 minutes until crispy.

Add spice mix seasoning & toss well.

Serve & enjoy!

Can store in an air tight jar for up to one month.
