Ingredients:

  • Sabut dhania (Coriander seeds) ½ tbs
  • Sabut lal mirch (Button red chilies) 5-6
  • Badi elaichi (Black cardamom) 1
  • Hari elaichi (Green cardamom) 3
  • Javatri (Mace) 2 blades
  • Laung (Cloves) 2-3
  • Sabut kali mirch (Black peppercorns) ½ tsp
  • Darchini (Cinnamon sticks) 2
  • Zeera (Cumin seeds) 1 tsp
  • Kala zeera (Caraway seeds) ½ tsp
  • Khashkash (Poppy seeds) 1 tbs
  • Pyaz (Onion) fried ½ Cup
  • Beef boneless cubes ½ kg
  • Namak (Salt) 1 tsp
  • Sarson ka tel (Mustard oil) 2 & ½ tbs
  • Kacha papita (Raw papaya) paste 2 tbs
  • Adrak lehsan paste (Ginger garlic paste) 2 tbs
  • Dahi (Yogurt) whisked ½ Cup
  • Lemon juice 1 & ½ tbs
  • Lal mirch powder (Red chili powder) 1 tsp or to taste
  • Cooking oil 3-4 tbs

Directions:

In frying pan,add coriander seeds,button red chilies,black cardamom,green cardamom,mace,cloves, black peppercorns,cinnamon sticks,cumin seeds,caraway seeds,poppy seeds and roast until fragrant & let it cool down.

In spice mixer,add roasted spices and grind to make a coarse powder.

Add fried onion,blend again & set aside.

In bowl,add beef boneless cubes,salt,mustard oil and mix well.

Add raw papaya paste,ginger garlic paste,yogurt,lemon juice,red chili powder,grinded onion & spices mixture and mix well,cover and marinate for 4-6 hours.

In pot,add cooking oil and marinated beef and mix well.

Cover and cook on low flame until beef is tender (approx. 40-45 minutes).

Garnish with onion rings & serve!
