Pineapple Upside Down Cake

  • Makhan (Butter) unsalted 100 gms
  • Cheeni (Sugar) powdered 1 Cup
  • Anday (Eggs) 3
  • Vanilla essence ½ tsp
  • Namak (Salt) 1 pinch
  • Baking powder 1 & ½ tsp
  • Pineapple juice ½ Cup
  • Maida (All-purpose flour) sifted 1 & ½ Cups
  • Makhan (Butter) unsalted 100 gms
  • Brown sugar powdered 6 tbs
  • Pineapple rings
  • Cherries


In bowl,add butter and whisk well.

Add sugar and whisk well until well combined.

Add eggs and whisk well.

Add vanilla essence,salt,baking powder,pineapple juice and mix well.

Add all-purpose flour,whisk until combined & set aside.

In saucepan,add butter and let it melt.

Add brown sugar,mix well and cook on low flame until sugar is dissolved.

In 8 x 8 inch baking pan,add cooked sugar syrup,place pineapple rings,cherries and pour prepared batter.

Bake in preheated oven at 180 C for 35-40 minutes.

Remove the cake from the oven and run a knife around the edges to loosen them from the sides of the pan.

Let it cool down,cut into pieces & serve!
