Ingredients:

  • Aalo (potatoes) grated 2 large
  • Pyaz (onion) grated ½
  • Water
  • Mulmal ka kapra (cheese cloth)
  • Drain off excess water
  • Anda (egg) 1
  • Maida (flour) 1 ½ tbs
  • Namak (salt) ½ tsp or to taste
  • Black pepper ½ tsp
  • Lal mirch (red chili) ½ tsp
  • Lehsan (garlic) grated 1 clove
  • Oil 2 tbs

Directions:

Grate potatoes and onion with grater (or cheese grater). And put them in a bowl of water for 5 minutes. Drain water from potatoes and put them in a cheesecloth and drain off excess water.

In a separate bowl, add flour, egg, salt, black pepper, red chili and mix well, grated potato and onion mix in the bowl and mix well.

In a frying pan on low medium heat, add dumpling size of potato mix and spread gently with spatula. Fry both sides until golden brown and dish out.

Serve with fried egg or sour cream or boiled eggs or just with ketchup.
