-Sugar ¾ Cup

-Water ½ Cup

-Lemon juice 2-3 drops

-Anday (Eggs) 6

-Khoya unsweetened crumbled 250g

-Zafran (Saffron strands) ¼ tsp

-Desi ghee (Clarified butter) 2 tbs

-Chandi warq (Edible silver leaves)

-Pista (Pistachios)

-Badam (Almonds)



-In a saucepan,add sugar,water and mix well,bring it to boil and cook on low flame until sugar is dissolved and thickens (2-3 minutes) (one string consistency).

-Turn off the flame,add lemon juice,mix well & set aside.

-In a bowl,add eggs & beat slightly.

-Add khoya,saffron strands & beat well.

-Now add prepared sugar syrup,clarified butter & beat until well combined.

-On 7 x 7-inch baking pan lined with butter paper,pour prepared batter and tap few times.

-Bake in preheated oven at 180C for 30-35 minutes or until skewer comes out clean (on both grills).

-Take out from oven & let it cool completely.

-Cut into diamond shape and garnish with silver leaves,pistachios,almonds & serve!
