Air Fried Chicken Chargha

We challenged our selves and make the chargha we all love healthy by removing the need to deep fry. Thanks to Philips air fryer we were able to get perfect results. #HappyCookingToYou #FoodFusion #Philips

-Whole chicken approx. 1 kg

-Water 1 & ½ litre (enough to dip chicken)

-Sirka (Vinegar) 2 tbs

-Namak (Salt) 2 tsp

-Paprika powder 1 tsp

-Ajwain (Carom seeds) crushed ½ tsp

-Dhania powder (Coriander powder) ½ tbs

-Namak (Salt) ½ tbs or to taste

-Zeera powder (Cumin powder) ½ tbs

-Haldi powder (Turmeric powder) ½ tsp

-Chaat masala 1 & ½ tsp

-Lal mirch (Red chilli) crushed ½ tbs

-Cornflour 1 tbs

-Zarda ka rang (Orange food color) ¼ tsp

-Adrak lehsan paste (Ginger Garlic paste) 1 & ½ tbs

-Mustard paste 1 tbs

-Lemon juice 2-3 tbs

-Cooking oil 2 tsp

-Oil spray

-Lal mirch (Red chilli) crushed

-Lemon juice

-Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped



-Make deep cuts on whole chicken & set aside.

-In a bowl,add water,vinegar,salt & mix well.

-Add whole chicken,cover &marinate for 30 minutes then strain,pat dry & set aside.

-In a bowl,add paprika powder,carom seeds,coriander powder,salt,cumin powder,turmeric powder, chaat masala,red chilli crushed,cornflour,orange food color,ginger garlic paste,mustard paste,lemon juice & mix well.

-Add cooking oil & mix well.

-Add whole chicken & apply marinade evenly & massage chicken well,tie chicken legs with kitchen thread,cover & marinate for 2-4 hours & set aside.

-In a wok,add water & bring it to boil.

-Place steamer & add marinated chicken,cover & steam cook on low flame for 30-35 minutes.

-Take out chicken from steamer,spray oil,place it in air fryer basket & air fry at 180C for 15-18 minutes.

-You can also deey fry chargha after steam cooking.

-Sprinkle red chilli crushed,add lemon juice & fresh coriander & serve!
